Question about 2006 Peugeot 505

I av a peugoet 206, 1.9d when runnin the battrie keeps going flat and the battrie light on the dash keeps coming on but only half eluminated, if i rev it to over 5000revs the light sometimes goes out,. Can anyone help me, thankyou..

Check fan belt tension/alternator faulty/charging should be 14.3 volts at battery at 900revs

sounds like your security system failed.. its real common in gm's. I have had the same issue with one of my cars..you can bypass it. this is how I fixed it.. pretty simple.. and I have to say I have had it in my car for 5 years and haven't had an issue since.. hope it helps

This is a fairly serious problem because it risks your cars security at night by allowing people a way in. I would immediately take it to a professional so he can chase wires and see where they go. He should also have a wiring diagram to see how it should be wired. I'm sure he could get it figured out within a couple days and have everything looking like direct from the factory. Do not allow your repair guy to leave covers off or carpet pulled out.

Altinator dose not charge when battry is low


time for another battery. Have a load test done on battery. Then have someone fullfield the alternator to see if its operating correctly

My car lights are dim


15v is too high...indicates a regulator failure...You may be boiling and overheating battery (will cause failure of even a new one) I would also check to see if overcharge has damaged any wiring. Check the main lead at the alternator and see if the plastic insulator around the connecting bolt is melted too.
