This is a 91 buick park avenue. when the car is idling, you turn on the turn signal, or use the power windows the battery power goes WAY down, sometimes to the point of stalling the car. we just replaced the battery 2 days ago and at that time auto zone checked the alternator and said it was fine. the car now will not start.

Check your wires coming to and from the battery and all the areas that you think are loosing power. IE the radio, the windows, the lights, and see if the current draw is what it should be, or are the wires shot.... Becuase if the wires going to the battery from the altinator arnt that great, it will charge sometimes, and only a little when it does. The wires from the battery to the fues box can also have the same issue.. just cause they look good on the out side, does not mean that they are not coroaded on the inside, causing a voltage drop, leading to lack of charging the car, or shutting off while its at idle.

Turn Signal/Cornering Lamps
The HZDT/SIG fuse in the fuse block - underhood - left supplies battery positive voltage to the turn signal/hazard flasher module and have ground at G202. The turn signal lamps may only be activated with the ignition switch in the ON or ACCY position. The T/SIG fuse in the fuse block - underhood - left supplies battery positive voltage to the turn signal switch. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, current flow is from the turn signal switch assembly to the turn signal/hazard flasher module. The turn signal/hazard flasher module then sends an on-off voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, all the turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn signal indicators. The left turn signals have ground at G106, G400 and at G402. The right turn signals have ground at G105 and G400. The turn signal switch supplies battery positive voltage to the cornering lamps, the left cornering lamp has ground at G105 and the right cornering lamp has ground at G106.

The battery light on my 1994 Buick Park Avenue comes on then goes out. Sometimes I pull over and restart the car and it stays out. What can cause this? Thank you for your advice

That model of car has alot of electrical systems that can cause heavy load on the system. Blower motor on highspeed, headlamps, power windows ,ect.... instead of turning engine off ,try to eliminate the load and see if that helps. I would suspect a weak ,or too small of a battery ,or the altenator
is not working at full capacity

Have your battery tested. If the battery is good, I suspect there is something that is ON in your vehicle. You will have to find it and secure it. With the vehicle off, you can remove each fuse in turn and measure if there is any amp traveling into the circuit using your volt/amp/ohm meter.

Sounds like an electrical problem. Remove all three battery cables , clean them along with the contacts at the battery and replace both bolts. These cars have two positive cables, one to the starter and one to the engine body electrical system. Try this and reply back.

1994 buick park avenue, idling up and will not idle down

If it's not sticking throttle linkage, and i assume it isn't because you have an engine light on, it's probably a faulty idle control sensor. You can get one at any parts store, and they aren't hard to remove and replace. The parts guy can show you exactly where it is on his screen.
