If you are talking about the voltage regulator, you can't, it is built into the alternator and has to be replaced - which is not a major job.

Fuel pressure regulator keeps going out on my 1988 bronco ii

Are you putting OEM fuel pressure regulators in it when you replace them or are you using aftermarket parts? Aftermarket parts will definintely fail multiple times prematurely, and even fail right out of the box. Perhaps the diaphram isn't strong enough to handle the pressure?

I couldn't find any Motorcraft available in stock for your Bronco but I recommend trying Delphi and see if that fixes the problem, if you're not using that brand already.

Battery light on dash flases on 2001 ford expedition

alternator is going bad or just the regulator circuit to keep output constant is going bad. if alternator is the problem, first check for oxidation on cables, if they are ok probably the brushes inside alternator are worned out. you need a new alternator or need it to be fixed. if regulator is bad you need a new regulator or the broken component to be fixed. either ways this must be an easy fix. 1 hour job.

Power Window Failure

It is likely a bad regulator. Remove the door panel and unbolt the regulator and motor, They are usually just bolted in on GM.

Hey when i push the power botton for the rear window it doesn't go down,I checked the power button, and its good ! Can i replace the power motor in the rear window, and where is it located,i would like to...

  1. Raise and support the rear door window glass to the full up position.
  2. Remove the interior door handle.
  3. Remove the rear door speaker.
  4. Remove the water shield.
  5. Disconnect the rear door window regulator motor electrical connector.
  6. Remove the rear door window regulator rivets.
  7. Remove the rear door window regulator by sliding the regulator arms off of the window glass track.
  8. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, noting the following:
    • Cycle the door glass to make sure of engagement of the drive mechanism.
    • Remove the rear door window glass-to-regulator bolt or rivet.
    • Position the rear door window glass as necessary to access the rear door window glass-to-regulator rivet.
    • Secure the rear door window glass in the full UP position with tape.
    • Disconnect the window regulator motor electrical connector.
    • Remove the 2 window regulator nuts.
    • Remove the 3 window regulator motor bracket nuts.
    • Install the window regulator assembly. Tighten the 3 motor bracket nuts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
    • Install the 2 window regulator nuts. Tighten the nuts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
    • Connect the window regulator motor electrical connector.
    • Remove the tape securing the rear door window glass in the full UP position.
    • Position the rear door window glass as necessary to access the rear door window glass-to-regulator rivet. Tighten the bolt to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm), or install a new rivet.
    • Install the window regulator motor
    • Remove the window regulator assembly.

2003 Stratus power window

Most of the time the regulator has to be replaced. if you take the door apart and take a good look at the regulator you will probably find a broken guide or fraid cable... something broken to make the cable jump off. (you may get lucky and be able to fix the old regulator...but in all the years i've been doing these i've only seen one that i was able to fix and not have to replace the regulator) Sorry I don't have a good pic of this regulator you can check with the dealer or local glass shop for an aftermarket or www.directauto.com
hope this helps

My 1992 Suzuki Sidekick Passenger Automatic Window fell into the door and won't work!

There is no way to fix the window regulator. (replacement parts are usually not sold to repair small part of the window regulator). You will have to buy a new window regulator for that car. Some window regulators come with the motor some do not.

Power window regulator

Your mech. is right they only sell the regulator assy, have you thought of a wrecking yard? I have had good luck with used regulators, as a rule they last the life of the car. There are many GM years and models that may use that same regulator, the yard can cross reference it for you, you can go on line and find used parts with any search engine, just type in "used window regulators". Good luck

Rear Passenger window won't roll up

No the only way to fix these wire regulators is replace them, they are fairly cheap, think about it, you pull the door panel, remove the regulator try to fix it and put it back, right away it fouls up, you have worked hard for nothing, replace it.
