Are your cable connections clean ? in the meaning of is there visable green corossion on the battery post? Some time if there is after you clean them good the green stuff grows done into the cables a inch or two, this will stop a good connection. Check your connection at the starter also the green stuff will grow there also,,Check your ground Blk cable also make sure they are tight and clean. and yes this green build up will stop a jump too.And it will eventually make your battery go bad because it will stop it from receiveing a charge from altenator
.Lets say your cables are clean as a whistle,Your battery can go out just like that if its over 3 or 4 years old.Iv had it happen to me on a car that was only 4 years old.

If battery is new than you could have a body ground problem, check all grounds one on frame to motor ,and one on fire wall to motor ,these are braided wire cable flat about a half inch wide. I would also change the black wire that grounds the battery, Because those can look good and be bad,,I had same problem on a chevy truck, AND You have to start somewhere and thats a good place

My 1990 geo prizm won't start and there's no interior lights what can be the problem

hello ,
wont crank or cranks fast but wont start.? (2 different answers)
you must tell the helper all things that work or dont work
that is how electrics function, by branches .
1: head lights work high and low beams. ( dim or dead?)
2; heater fan work on high?
3: radio.
4: cluster glows those warning lamps as all do key on (y/n)
5;cranks
6: interior lamps dead, my guess you mean the dome lamps.?
try to be more clear as to which of the many lamps inside are dead.
7: if its a no crank, car, say so, and check for green battery lugs
we clean them , if not corroded ,then we next jump start the car
using jumper cables, per instructions on the box.

is car automatic trans?
if yes and wont crank try cranking in Neutral not park.
step on brake /and key on, and shift to N.
then crank.

Why don't I have any car power/electricity?

ground cable could be bad, take your black cable on your jumper cables hook one end to negative post on batt the other to a metal bracket on engine and see if you have power

No power and batt is good

My first guess would be a dead cell inside the battery, or a blown fuseable link between the battery and the fuse box.
Someone would need to check the battery connections and fuse box with a meter.

What is causing my Toyota corona to stall when parked at the lights also why is it that it requires a jump start every time to work again when issue occurs, could this be a battery failure or engine f

If you had the battery checked and was good, you should have had the charging system/alternator checked as well. My definite thought here is that the charging system/alternator is not working to recharge the battery. After jump start, there is just enough power in the battery to run the engine and nothing else. It stalls at a light because your foot on the brake to stop is powering the brake lights and that removes power from the engine making it die. Replace the alternator. Done. No more problem.

I had absolutely no power and I couldn't even jump

No Power? Do you mean that the engine would not crank when you turned the key? Did you have dash lights? Dome lights? If you had some kind of lighting, you had electrical power. and if that is so then it sounds like your transmission range selector switch may be faulty or needs adjustment. Or VERY POSSIBLY, you might not have put it ALL the way in Park when you turned the car off the last time. If you try it now does it start? If not try putting it into park a little harder. Does that work? If not put in Neutral and try it. If that works the Gear selector switch Is bad or in need of adjustment.

1995 GMC Sonoma, Wont Start, On Electrical Power after Replacing Head Gaskets

Look at the main power supply battery junction block . Fusible link's . Firewall driver side . These power up the whole vehicle . Do you have a voltmeter ,do you know how to use one to test B+ voltage ? Here is a web site for free wiring diagrams . http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make ,model and engine size . Under system click on electrical distribution ,under subsystem click on power distribution . Click the search button ,then the blue link's . Look at the diagrams ,get out the voltmeter an test for B+ voltage where it's suppose to be.

2001 Ford 4 door was runningg great turned off went inside an hour later tried to start and it wouldn't turn over, also can't shift automatic in neutral. Tried to jump start thought it was dead...

I'm thinking its the battery. Heat kills batteries. You said it wont jump start. That's a dead ringer for a bad battery. It may have enough juice to power some things, but wont run the starter, or the fuel pump, or the ignition(spark). Try a new battery and let me know!

98' Cav.. Drove it to store, shopped, didnt leave anything running or turned on. Went to car, opened dr...no dome light (thought, hmph, must have burned out -- fix later). Tried to start car... I turned...

this sound to me like at first I thought it was a fuse, as the problem went on it shifted more toward a weak cell in the battery, if a weak cell sits for a little while the battery will not hold the charge in that cell and that will cause loss of power, "its charge", in tne other cells. you had mentioned you used another battery and it ran great but when the battery was removed, things went wrong. You may check to see if there is water in your battery
