remove door panel, If you are mechanically inclined you can figure out how to connect the regulator (operating assembly) back to the window by removing mounting bolts of assembly and pivoting. Something came loose or broke, window guides are worn (plastic parts), or assembly is way out of alignment for window to fall off track....
If the motor is working but the glass is not moving something must have broke inside the door. See if you can sneak a piece of duct tape down along side the glass, get it down as far as possible. Use a butter knife or something to make the tape stick to the glass, now try pulling the glass up with the tape. You may want run the window motor at the same time maybe it will catch. If you get the window up, tape it with duct tape so you can get it to a shop to get it fixed. Good luck.
the window is off of the track, or the arm broke. you can try to do it yourself. pull the door panel off (may be some bolts near the arm rest and handle, but the rest are clips). from there, you should be able to see if it's on the track or not, and the condition of the arm. if the arm is broken, you might want to take it in.
this may be a bad window regulator not going up straight or it simply broke you can probably find a good used one at a local auto wrecking yard try this web site to find one close to you that will have it

Generally speaking windows just don't fall off the track. Ususally there is a problem with the regulator (sometimes it's just a clip that broke off but that would be some good luck). Some vehicles come as the regulator and motor in one unit and that can be expensive. Call your local auto parts and ask how it comes and find out the price. It shouldn't be more than 1.5 hrs of labor to change it so depending on his labor rate...do the math.
unfortuanately the window has come off the track... happens for various reasons... on my windstar the side rail spot weld broke so the rail/track came off... i had to take the bracket out ... drill out the spot weld and put it back together with a rivet ... put the window back and it's been good since.... basically you will need to take the door panel off to see why it came off the track.
