Sometimes the cause can be the cause was in the electronic circuit board in the back of the dashboard display.
You need to have car computer scanned to diagnose the problem

All you can do at home is unplugging battery cable for two minutes, and see if it clears and restart working. After reset you will be asked your car stereo security code, ensure you have it before doing this.
Best choice is taking the car at a mechanic, they will scan the computer and get an error code in return to understand what happened.

Cruise control stopped working. No dash lite, fuse is good. Do not recognize anything else wrong. Worked yesterday.

Have someone you know hook it to a pretty good scanner, it will bring up and test the dash cluster.

Ford focus cruise control

Once you have turned your cruise control on accelerate to desired speed press SET button on right hand side of steering wheel before lifting foot from accelerator, then remove foot from accelerator. pushing RESUME button will deactivate cruise control without turning it off. Then when clear of traffic push resume again to activate cruise control. It will automatically resume to previous set speed.

I have 2003 taurus and the cruise control work sometimes. When it does work it sometimes resumes speed on its own.

Sounds like the control switches are sticking Replace them. Check engine vacuum lines as well if leaking cruise won't work.

the fuse panel is under the plastic panel on the left of the steering wheel, the cruise does not have a deicated fuse, it is controlled by the powertrain control module, if the truck runs the cruise has power, the most common cause of the cruise being inop is he rotating contact under the steering wheel, it is called the clock-spring contact

2006 ford taurus cruise control not working

I would get the owners manual out and find out where the fuse is for the cruise control cause there is a pickup switch for the cruise under the hood by the throttle body when it is engaged you don't have to have your foot on the pedal
