Question about 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier
There could be a few things that could cause a miss fire, you stated that you replaced the spark plug and wire and coil, that a good start, but first you need to find out what is causing the skip. is there any spark at #2 cylinder? if there is no spark the only things left to replace are the ignition module and ECM. but i think if you check for spark you will have it, so the next thing to check is to see if there is any fuel at the fuel injector, check this by misting some carb. cleaner or propane over the intake wile the engine is idling if the skip goes away then it is most likely a bad fuel injector, if not then check to see if the cylinder has any compression and i think this is your problem you most likely have a bad valve in the cylinder head and the engine will need to have the head removed and a valve job preformed in order tp restore the cylinder compression.
