Me too. Try Crystal View headlight restorer kit. It's cheap. Bought it at advanced auto parts store. Basically you finely sand the plastic and then apply a clear protective coat over it. Looks very easy. Video instructions on website. Haven't done mine yet though. On the list of things to do...

SOURCE: 2003 Jetta has headlight lens

There is a kit you can buy at walmart which lays a new layer of resin in the lens, which clears it up come. Is does work. It is not as good as new, but better to spend $20 than $250.

2003 VW Jetta ''door open'' alarm goes off while driving

The door latch located in the door panel has a micro switch built into it assembly. It is what detects an open door. A new latch is about $150. If you could find a shop to replace it for you. You could also try buying some plastic-safe contact cleaner/lubricant and spraying the latch assembly out and opening/closing the door a few times to work it in.

Can i just replace the lens on a 1999 vw jetta

you have to replace the whole assembly not just the lense. Is the lense broke or just fogged over? if fogged over you can polish them with a kit from the auto parts store.
