How d I swith passenger side mirror on a power mirror on a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited edition

no symptoms posted (broke glass or ???) can we be on same page?
"how do I switch," verb switch , the mirror as switches inside, too.

please say what that word means. switch and the failure.
1: remove and replace with new.
2: move right to left and left to right side.

why would you do that #2
fold away mirrors/ Export only (this is usa forum so..)
these,NASA grade mirrors are very complex... not just glass and plastic. heaters ,motors, memory , etc.

the FSM cover all tests for the mirror, including scan data.

ill quote the FSM now , 8 steps (just 1 fail, not heat, not memory failure or fold failure)
ONE MIRROR INOPERATIVE
(1) If the one inoperative mirror is on the passenger
side, go to Step 2. If the one inoperative mirror is
on the driver side, go to Step 3.
(2) Check if the passenger front door will lock and
unlock using the power lock switch on the driver side
front door. If OK, go to Step 3. If not OK, go to Step 6.
(3) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative
cable. Remove the trim panel from the front door.
Disconnect the 12-way mirror wire harness connector
from the door wire harness connector.
(4) Using two jumper wires, test the mirror as
shown in the Mirror Test chart (Fig. 2). If the mirror
tests OK, go to Step 5. If the mirror does not test
OK, replace the faulty mirror.
(5) Disconnect the 12-way door wire harness connector
from the door module connector receptacle.
Check all of the circuits of the door wire harness
between the connector for the mirror and the connector
for the door module for opens or shorts. If all of
the circuits are OK, replace the faulty door module.
If any of the circuits are not OK, repair the open or
shorted circuit(s) as required.
(6) Use a DRB scan tool and the proper Diagnostic
Procedures manual to test and repair the faulty Programmable
Communications Interface (PCI) data bus
communication between the two door modules.

(bar stool answer) all cars. mostly
pull door skins
unplug motor conn.
unscrew mirror base from door.
extract mirror,

My electrical wiring for accessories does not function. I don't know the location of the fuse for this lines.

The fuse box is mounted under the dash on the left SIDE above the dead pedal / rest. if the mirrors are geeking out then you shorted something out

Replacing non-heated left side mirror (driver's side)

To remove the door panel you will have to pull out on the bottom edges. There is a tool sold for this but you can use a screwdriver. It doesn't sound good when you pop them off but there are small plastic tabs you have to force out. This is what is being done when you pry the panel outward. Then there are screws that you will have to remove where the door handle and arm rest area is. You have to pop off the covers and then you will see the screws. All that is left to do is pull out and up and the door panel will come off. There is nothing fancy about it. Just take your time and don't be too concerned about using force.

Changing Door Mirror Glass XJ6(X300)

Hi

You need to put on a pair of gloves, and safety glasses. (Safety First !)
Prise off the broken mirror from the plastic base that it is stuck too.
Give the plastic a clean with nail polish remover or similar.
Peel off the backing on new mirror glass, and carefully stick it on.

Good Luck !

Right mirror was smashed & now both mirrors(?) get adjusted, not 1

Hi, try to see if the cables that enter the right mirror case have any damaged insulation due to collision. But before this check a menu at SETTINGS\CONVENIENCE\ about mirrors that enables a synchronized adjustment of both mirrors. This should be set at "individual".
