Question about Chevrolet Malibu

Replaced the crankshaft sensor and had the computer reset and now it is still poping up po336, also the car is starting and then shutting off and is riding real rough. what could this be please help?? it is a 1997

First check your wiring, they are notorious for brittle and shorted harness'. If the sensor was new and was installed correctly, and wiring looks good... the crank pulley and harmonic balancer might need to be replaced. The problem: some of those pulley/balancers after time develop a wobble that affects the air gap causing your erratic drivability issues.

I punched in code po336 for a bing search,
and it says that it could be
Crankshaft Position Sensor Signal Range / Performance
But it may be for another car.

What was your engine size and submodel? My reference on the Internet didn't have fault codes for your vehicle.

po336 on 97 lumina 3.1 is---crankshaft position sensor A ckt range /perf.---this is a bad crankshaft sensor!!!

How change the cranfshaft sensor on honda accord 96 4 cilinder 2.2

It is attached to the engine oil pump houseing, one bolt I believe.
