Question about Chevrolet Tahoe
The code means there is a problem with the air mass sensor or circuit.
There are lots of possibilities, but the most common is that oil/water vapor foam from the PCV coats the air mass sensor and makes it inoperative. I suggest removing the sensor, cleaning it, and trying it again.
You can check it more accurately with an ohmmeter, but I don't know the normal reading range, and it should vary with air volume anyway.
But you can make sure it is not 0 or infinite ohms anyway.
Symptom is what you would expect, that the engine does not know you have applied throttle, and is still only giving idle amount of gas.
Perhaps a place like Autozone will check the air mass sensor if you bring it in.
If that is not it, then it is probably the control unit, with can also be brought in and tested.
