Not really, because if you tried to do anything other then let the electro magnet engage the clutch, then the AC would be pumping all the time, and that would cost you more in gasoline than fixing the clutch.

But here is a link on where to get an AC clutch for $68, from Born-Again Air Corporation, in Midlothian Texas. (Cost, $68.00 US).
And how to do the fix.
But you will need to buy a few tools as well.

Can I reroute a surpentine belt on my 2006 hyundai sonata v6 to bypass the ac compressor.

We tried this on a Chrysler but could not because the things would not line up so what we did was disconnected the compressor from the air hoses and just used the compressor as an extra pulley. Worked good that way but no cool air. Ran several years that way.

How to bypass the ac pulley on a 2003 hyundai sonata

You can bypass the ac compressor by using a 82" belt. Feed the belt from the back of the engine at the water pump. Disconnect the power steering line at pump. It's a lot easier if you use some type of hook to hold/maneuver the belt. (I used a bent rebar) Follow this routing diagram I created. Bam! No more ac problems!

2007 hyundai sonata v6 sounds like bearing is going bad - maybe idler pulley? any suggestions?

If you can, remove the belt and spin the idler, that will tell you. (Just note where the belt goes so you can re-install it.)

Trying to replace serpintine belt but air conditioner pulley seems to sit lower than it does on diagram

I do not know what Diagram you are referring to. Also I am not sure if you have the Sonata with the 2.4L DOHC In-Line 4, or the Sonata GLS with the 2.5 SOHC V6.
In any case:
Click on the following Free-Direct Link. It has the Serpentine Belt Diagrams. Compare these with your Vehicle and/or Diagrams you have.

To remove crankshaft pulley

no easy way, yopu will need a air impact 1/2" drive. Unles you can get to the flywheel and jam it, or even take the starter out and jam it. with a pry bar or something.

Where can I obtain a 2000 hyundai sonata v6,2.4 service manual, preferably in disc form. I reside in West Australia.

There's no such thing as a "2000 hyundai sonata v6,2.4 service manual."... Now, there is a 2.5 V6.. .and a 2.4 I4 (4 cylinder).

Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle.

What is size of replacement battery for 2000 sonata v6?

Size 75 was the standard battery many of the newer size 75's are actually stronger than the old 78's, so you can probably get away with a 75 which is a little smaller and lighter.
