Question about 2005 Ford F 350 Super Duty

1 Answer

My 2005, F350 was warm and had been running for near two hours. I reved the engine just before getting ready to leave for home. I noticed the turbo boost didn't move and when the truck idled back down it quit and wouldn't start. Have not been able to start the truck now for nearly three hours. Seems to be starving for fuel. No fuses blown. No other noises.

Truck runs rough after sitting for 6 hours or

You have a blown head gasket, it runs rough because the coolant is leaking into the engine, and the water gushing out when you fill the radiator is a dead give away.

Sorry mate it has to be rebuilt.

I have a 2005 Ford F350 6.0 Diesel and It wont start after the motor gets warm. It also starts rough when cold. When it is running it runs great. Any help would be appreciated.

I had this same issue and luckily my F350 2006 was still under warranty. Basically there is a high pressure oil system that has a tendency to leak internally. You won't see any oil leak. When cold the oil has enough viscosity to keep the pressure sensor from not allowing the engine to start. When the engine is warm the system doesn't reach required pressure to allow the engine to start. In short it's a Ford dealer repair. Good luck.

well the question is where did the coolant go. if it didnt leak out it must have went out the pipe. As you stated, white smoke, white smoke is coolant. You definately need to get this to the shop. You cannot drive it this way or further damage will occur.
