Usually the problem is a small vacuum leak for the hvac system. start by checking the small plastic hoses near the a/c drier (the black cylindrical thing) at rear of engine compartment on the passenger side. typically it is a black plastic hose about 1/8 inch thick. you car repair by using a short piece of vacuum hose as a splice to put the two pieces together, make sure the hose fits snuggly on the plastic hose. hope this helps

Rear Floor Vent heat only

Sounds like your heater coolant hose door flap is broken or loose. May want to check behind the heater controls, if your components are mechanically operated. If electronically, may need to perform more troubleshooting before replacing this component.

2000 Ford Taurus SEL ac/heat blows through floor and defrost vents only

There is no vacuum to the controls. Look for a vacuum hose that is no longer connected to the engine intake manifold and repair it.

sounds like the blend motor from hot to cold is stuck open half way allowing both temps to come into the car.

Poor air flow from floor vents or when multiple vents choosen

There has to be something blocking the output somewhere. Check where vents come out to see if something has fallen down to block them.

No dashboard heat output

The climate control was poorly designed on these cars.

There is only heat on the floor and defrost settings, due to the layout of the ductwork.
