My 99 ford ranger keeps blowing fuse # 27. Utube video said in column, scuffed wires to O/D buttonn dismantled column, no scuffed wires Where do I look next?

This fuse also powers , transmission control switch , DRL module , back up lights switch , digital transmission range sensor and the pulse vacuum hublock solenoid .
DRL module is daytime running lamp module . look at the transmission range sensor . Disconnect thing's one at a time till fuse no longer blows or disconnect everything an then replace fuse the connect thing's one at a time till it blows , then you found your problem circuit .

I replacsed th wiper transmission and now the wiper fuse keeps blowing I did not work on any thing but that

Does the fuse blow when the wipers are off or when you turn the wipers on? A fuse blowing means either a short circuit or an overload. Lets say that your wiper transmission is new and working properly, then an overload is probably blowing the fuse which is caused by the circuit pulling to much current because something is not aligned correctly and moving freely when the wiper motor is turned on. Before you connect the arms to the transmission, move the arm assembly manually with your hand to make sure the wipers go across and back on the windshield. This will verify that the arm assembly is moving freely and not jamming. Then turn the wiper transmission without connecting the wiper arms and see if the transmission is working properly and not blowing the fuse. This will verify that your wiper transmission is not defective. Check the wiring going to the wiper transmission for any bare spots or nicks on the wire insulation. If you have a bare spot or nick that is touching metal, the fuse will blow (this is called a short circuit). If you find a bare spot or nick on the wire use electrician tape to insulate the bare spot or nick. Usually three wraps of electrician tape around the bare spotor nick will do the job. Oh, make sure to replace the fuse with the correct amp fuse. Your car dealer auto parts can provide the information (over the phone) on the correct amp size. You can purchase the fuse at any auto parts. FYI: Too small an amp on the fuse will blow when the wiper is turned on. Too large of a fuse will cause the wiring to burn if your wipers should stop shifting and jam. Good Luck. Hope this helps.

Reverse lights won't come on

Yes...there are fuses for virtually everything. That is for fire prevention. However, you don't say what make/mode/year/engine/transmission your vehicle has so additional info is difficult. I will say that the reverse lights generally do not have a DEDICATED fuse, so if a fuse was the problem, something else would also not be working. Reverse light problems are usually due to one of two things - as the lights are in the rear of the vehicle they are rarely checked for operation. They could simply be burned out, first one, then later the other. More likely, however is the backup light switch that activates them. On automatic transmission vehicles, the switch is usually located in, on, or near the shift linkage. On manual transmission vehicles, the switch is usually located somewhere on the side of the transmission housing.

Is there fuses 9r relays that make2003 ford ranger 3.0 shift?

Yes, check your central fuse box, located on the driver side of instrument panel (when you open the driver door you should see the cover on the side). Its fuse F2.2 and its a 10A fuse that controls many things like the digital transmission range switch and the transmission control switch.

Without warning or indication of a previous problem, suddenly the transmission would NOT grab! I Turned the ignition off, waited a few minutes, then started-up again. Transmission seemed to "Re-Boot", at...

it appears to me the problem lies with the computer not communicationg with the transmission so i would start there and work forward, get another computer and put in see if that doesent change anything .on the fuse panel you can take a small fire bruch and clean the connections for the fuses.
