My aunt has a 2007 chevy impala it is leaking oil as soon as you start the car. it leaks out from where the oil filter is. but it is not the oil filter its like it is leaking from above that and saturating the oil filter. does not look like the sending unit is leaking though, and after the car is running for awhile it stops leaking. it has the v6 in it

Her car has one of 2 problems it is either a bad valve cover gasket (not very expensive) or a bad head gasket (very expensive). Good luck

Oil leak on 2007 chevy impala

Only a trusted local auto service shop or dealer can answer this for you because your vehicle would have to be up on a lift to actually see what's leaking in order to properly diagnose and repair. It may be as simple as changing the oil pan gasket or a cracked oil pan that would have to be either replaced or repaired depending on the size of the crack. There is also the remote chance that its actually something else that's leaking. Hope this helps.

I have a 2003 chevy impala that is from a fleet of cruisers so it has the extra oil cooler on it. One of those lines are leaking and i'm wondering if i can bypass them and get a oil filter housin

You probably can do what you want but really it is better to have cold tranny oil rather than another oil filter. Better if you repair/replace the leaking hose as the tranny will reward you for it.

MY IMPALA 2007 LT IS LEAKING OIL GASKET WAS REPLACED TWO MONTHS BACK IT HAD BEEN FINE BUT JUST YESTERDAY OIL PRESSURE LOW SENSOR CAME ON & NOW I NOTICE IT'S HAVING A SLOW WATER DRIP PROBLEM AS

Yes or a small bypass hose. You may be able to get a loan of a tester at autozone, oreilys, or advance autoparts. You want a radiator pressure tester. Do not exceed the cap rated pressure. When the engine is warm, you can add pressure and look for water seepage.

There are also chemicals to add to detect leaks if the first method is unsuccessful.

I have 2006 Chevy impala that leaks oil from the fiter

Eithe the filter is bad, or the filter needs tightened or it was installed incorrectly and cross threadeds. The rubber seal on the filter could aslo be torn or not lubricated when installed. This will cause a leak,

Can we still drive our 2007 chevy impala with oil leaking from intake manifold?

if its a small leak you can drive it for a while but if its a big leak you should have it fixed as it could start a fire under the hood.either way it should be repaired.
