{: ) If nothing at all works on your cluster and the information screen is totally blank, try checking the IPC DIC fuse10amp and IGN E fuse 10amp at the underhood fuseblock. If both are good, then the cluster should be removed to check for poor terminal connection, or it could be a wiring issue. Make sure power from the fuses is reaching the cluster terminals, and check the black wire terminal for a good ground.
It is also possible that the cluster is not communicating. A scan tool can determine quickly if the cluster is communicating, and it even have these special functions to test your gauges and indicators.
If all tests failed, then you will need to replace the instrument panel cluster and have it programmed.

Yes the radio is tied to the dash and if you get another one it will have to be programed to recognize the radio.

I have a 1988 ford f-150 custom with a straight six with a 4 speed manual trans. the fuel gauge and temp gauge is not working but the speedometer and odometer and oil pressure is working what could it be?

could be the guage itself, the sending unit for those guages or the wiring in between. find the sending unit, should be two wires the sending unit actually changes the amount of voltage going to the guage. cross the two wires over at the sending unit, the guage should read all the way in one direction, do this for both guages. if the guage moves to an extreme position when the wires are crossed the guage and wiring are fine and the sending unit is the culprit. if you cant get the guages to move by crosing the wires, suspect the guage itself. find you a freindly garage to help w your repair. hope this is useful

The lights on the dash work, but none of the guages will work

check ground wire to guage module--may be loose or unhooked.

I have a 95 Chrysler LeBaron. The Battery Guage won't move. Shows no voltage. I replaced the Aternator, and the guage still does not move.

Is your guage an Amp guage or Volts guage. Amp guages do not move unless there is a short to ground, the volt guage moves as the alternator charges and discharges. If you have a Volt guage more than likely you need to replace it.

My dodge ram 1500 will not start. when you turn the ignition nothing happens. all the panel lights come but none of the guage hands move . could it be the ignition switch?

yes, or the relay. Look in relay box under hood. Ignition relay should click when key is turned on. If not, replace relay. Much cheaper than a switch. May still be the switch, but relay is worth a try.

I have a 1997 Jeep Cherokee. My issue is with the interior instrument lights, none of them work. I checked ALL fuses inside and out of the vehicle and all tested GOOD. Guages work and Radio display works...

It is the headlight switch, very common problem on jeeps, my 96 grand cherokee dose the same but most times the lights will flicker. Try spraying a small amount of WD-40 in to the panel dimmer switch and then move it around and kind of jiggle it around.

Pontiac 2003 Sunfire Gas Guage doesn't work

Your needle moving from empty to full and then back to empty indicates that it is trying to set itself (most cars do this each time they are started). So, yes, there seems to be a problem with the sending unit that feeds information to your gas guage. Prior to cracking open your fuel tank, you might try tracking the wires from the back of your guage as far as you can towards the tank. Then track the wires from your tank as far as you can toward the guage. Watch for damaged wires and/or loose connections as you go.

97 Silhouette Fuel guage not working correctly

drop fuel tank. if guage moves all around its probably the fuel level sensor on fuel pump assembly in the fuel tank. If the guage stay's in one spot its the guage , replace instrument cluster assembly. you can take just the glass off the cluster and move the fuel guage needle and it will work (if stuck) but for how long? The wires to the guage come from the sending unit to the power train control module to the instrument cluster. pray its not in the wiring.
