Question about 2002 Ford Explorer
Hi, check the circuit breaker #62 in the engine compartment fuse box. Also check the 60 amp maxi fuse #6 in that box. If those are good, try swapping relay #3 inside the car with relay #2 (rear defroster). If that works, buy a new relay for the defroster.
These relay are on the back of the fuse panel.

SOURCE: Power windows stopped working
If the power to the illumination and the switches is out in the door, I would say it is a broken wire in the A-pillar to the door on the driver's side.
This is a Light Blue w/ Black stripe wire, it powers both the illumination and the windows themselves.
