Question about Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I have a 2002 chevy silverado 4x4 5.3L va and the brake lights arent working i changed the sensor and checked all the fuses i don't know what eles to do can you help me problem solve

HAVE TRIED CHANGING THE CONTROL SWITCH THAT TURNS THE LIGHTS ON ,AND THERE IS A GROUND WIRE TO YOUR TAIL LIGHTS IT HAS TO BE GROUNDED TO THE BODY OF THE TRCK SUMWHERE

Did you check the park fuses, note the diagram, rr and lr. Use a test light to check voltage at fuse circuit, headlamp switch on. That should tell us if problem is before the fuse or after.
You always want to check voltage and ground circuits, for lamps. Do the front park lamps work?

check your grond wire a lot of times they will corrode and lose connection after you check fuses bulbs etc.

I cant find where my brake light fuses are for my 03 chevy silverado. the left brake light is out and the bulb is fine, but I dont know where the brake light fuse is.


If your right side brake light is working then it won't be a brake fuse as all brake lights are on the same circuit. Check the wiring harness connection for the left side.

My driver side tail light and driver side licsense plate light dont work all fuses look good wiring looks fine when i hook a trailer up the trailer lights all work this is on a 2002 chevy silvarado heavy...


if you check the wires with a test light at the tail light assembly plug in ,i think you'll find you do have power but the electrical circuit that holds the bulbs, is defective

the plate light you need to check the socket for power with test light

2004 chevy 1500 brake lights not working


check fuse under hood, batery terminals coroded wire at harness if everything fails run a hot wire to rear brake line with an interuptor.
check the swich under the foot brake.
