How many rpm should a automatic 2001 dodge durango shift gears at.

There is no set shift point on any vehicle

If you hold the gas down longer or further
the shifts come later

Only the torque converter clutch lock-up
comes on at about 42 MPH, under even throttle
in high gear

Dodge durango downshifts its self while driving why?

shift sensor in trans bad take the tarns apart . well drop pan n fluid the drop out the valve body then u can see the shift sensor

I have a 2000, there is a speed sensor located in top of the rear axel and I believe another on the tranny housing. Try the rear axel first.
