You will need to remove the interior pannel atleast enough to reach your hand up and pull on the latch assembley hope this helps sounds like 1 or more of your rods came off.
you have to take off the door panel and look. most often the linkage comes off of the outside handle; sometimes something is broken. It will be a mystery no more when you remove the door panel and look.
On the 05 Odyssey there's a problem with the rear latch assembly(about $140each) located in the rear of each sliding door. The problem is that the latch assembly was not seal proplery and water can get into the latch cause the sliding door to act funny. Maybe replace the latch assembly will help you.
1) Linkage from the inside handle became unhooked. 2) Linkage on many hondas have plastic parts that are prone to break. 3) In any case, you will have to take off the inside upholstery from the door to inspect the linkage, or other faulty part. It happened to me in my Accord. A plastic part broke in the linkage, very near the inside of the handle, i fixed it with super glue, and it lasted a week. As expected, a OEM part was needed, and fixed the problem.
They had a issue with the egr ports clogging up in the intake manifold,it can cause all kinds of oddball symptoms.BUT it should be covered under emissions 8yr/80,000miles warranty chck with honda dealer and get a little frisky if its outside time/milage waranty a little pushing sometimes gets em to cave and cover the repair
Happened to me today on my 2007 non-powered slider. Big snowstorm, lots of ice. I forced the door open from the outside and could not close it. Lots of fun driving home. I let it thaw in the garage and saw that the assembly was engaging, the lock was still spring loaded....and it works now. Last year, on the other side of the car, the slider would not close and it was because the assembly lost its spring. Dealer had to take the whole door off and replace the part. 500+ dollars.
We just got ours, and it does the same thing sometimes, on the driver's side.
I realized that sometimes it isn't opening QUITE all the way, and that if I push it open about 2 more inches until it stops, it will now close using the handle.
sound to me like a vaccume leak but a bad or stuck EGR will act the same way. does it use oil ? cause if it is this could be what is sticking your EGR.
