Starting problems My car won't start on hot and humid days, why? Car has been sitting in our warehouse and started right up. Drove for a short distance and would not start. Used jumper cables , but would not turn over. This is my daughters car, and when she was in LA she had this problem all the time in the summer.

Try first replacing the spark plugs

Try first replacing the spark plugs, as dirty or old plugs can give you troubles on start.
More likely the problem is caused either by carburetor settings or electronic distribution, depending on the model.
If it is a carburetor model then the Choke that helps the car to start in cold and wert conditions must be regulated.
If it is electronic injection, a scanner must be connected to the ECU that is the module that among other thing controls electronic injection.
Both tasks should be performed by a qualified mechanic.

Whenever the humidity is high such as 70% early in the morning my pickup engine will not start. During the normal days the humidity is down 30% engine start in one self no problem comes through.

run the fault codes to check for sensor problems
It could be the volume air sensor ( air density sensor) that is a problem
I am inclined to think that the problem is more electrical as high humidity allows condensation in a distributor cap that is shorting out the spark
when the engine is hot ,that moisture is gone but on cooling down ,condensation again forms causing the fault

Check fuel pressure at the injector rail. If good, suspect crankshaft position sensor--when it fails to start, check for sparks by pulling an ignition wire off the coils and holding it close to the coil with an insulated tool while someone cranks the engine. If no sparks, replace the sensor.

Need some advise, no problem starting the car CLK (02) but the dashboard warning lights ie handbrake, engine, abs etc won't switch itself off. The next day start the car again and it's gone!...

All those warnings are controlled by the computer, so it might be a computer glich. But most likely it was hot in the car and maybe even humid in it that caused an electrical component not to work. Then when you started it up the next day it was cooler or less humid. Which is an indication that something is getting weak (electrically).

I just buought a 98 Volvo S70 T5, the car sat for abit, to the point were It had to jump it. to start. ran great for the next 2 hours off and on mybe 7 diffrent starts but it never running for more then...

It could be a number of things:
  • Bad connection or corrosion on battery cables
  • Dead cell in the battery would prevent it from charging fully
  • Bad or worn drive belt would slip, preventing the alternator from fully charging the battery
  • Bad alternator
If the car will run at idle with all accessories turned on, the alternator is good and you should concentrate on the battery and battery cables. If the car won't idle, then the drive belt and/or alternator could be the issue. If the car starts everytime when it's cold and only gives you a problem starting when the engine is hot, the starter could be the issue. A bad starter will often work when it's cold (after sitting a few hours or overnight). When a bad starter gets hot, it takes more and more power to get it to turn over.
Overall, I'd have the electrical system checked out. Most chain auto parts stores (Autozone, Advance Auto) will do a complimentary electrical test for you.

I have a 2001 ford escape 2.0L and i was having trouble of it turning over when the car was warm. If it was a cold start it would start right up. If i drove for a while then turned it off, it wouldnt start back up unless i let it sit for an hr or 2. But once started it would run fine

SOLUTION: I changed the fuel injectors $120 for parts. And now all the hot starting problems went away.

Hope this helps

Sounds like you need a fuel pump. There is an access panel in the floor of the car to get to the pump.
