Question about Subaru Outback

1 Answer

1997 - 100,000 Kms Sometimes after driving a longer distance 100 kms, when I slow down and then try to speed up again, the car feels like it is in 4th gear and struggling to move and I can't get it to go into 1st or 2nd to speed up. I have even tried shifting my automatic down to 1 or 2 but to no avail. The problem is solved by stopping the car and letting it sit for about 15 minutes. Any ideas as to what it might be?

I just purchased a 2016 Mazda 3 Touring. I was informed that I would get a combined fuel of 5.7litre to 100 kms and also the tank is 51 litre. . Only got 390 kms to empty took only 40.5 litres! 10 l

the fuel consumption figure is what mazda get in a factory controlled test operation and is only an indication of what can be expected with careful driving
they have no control over driving habits or traffic conditions and drive speeds as the variation is too great to even talk about
by the calculations you are getting 5.6 liters per 100 klms so where is the problem
to get exact figures for your driving habits
you go from tank full to tank full and divide that into the figure set on the trip meter when filled the first tank, not what you have calcuated

I have a 1990 ford na fairlane with digital speedo and taco. At the moment it's not reading the speed, kms travelled or kms on the clock. And the gear box is also slipping?

Your electronic speed sensor has failed. Replace the speed sensor and all will be right again... inexpensive part and relatively easy replacement.

Seized engine

The damage is been done to your engine by having the gear king the wrong place while driving your speed.

Having trouble with my kia carnival over heating, now my heaters in car are no longer working, what could this mean?

my kia carnival 2002 keeps less heating when the car is in slow speed & when it is fast at 100 KM/H the RPM comes down, there is gear oil at Max & engine oil at max and water is getting low. with this i replaced thermostat, have had radiator pressure tested and was fine, radiator water is full but coolant box is getting empty whilst driving the distance of 100 kms. also when it begins to little overheat or just taking off the speed there is a loud ascending rattling noise which seems to come from the under right side of engine But when it catches the speed everything is smooth. & then you park for an hour the coolant tank is empty.or at low. please tell me what to do.

Daewoo matiz SA- year 2001, india done 39000kms

check cylinder compressions wet and dry
any difference of about 25PSI is enough to warrant engine repairs
sounds like plug might be fouling up with oil
