Question about 1999 Ford Expedition
The clutch went out have new one old one off but it looks like I have to remove the compressor to but the new one on. Is here an easy way to do this
No, you have to drain all the gas from the system using a compressor. change pump, then pump all the gas back in and top up.
If you don't care about being green, just unscrew the 2 main pipes on the compressor. Change pump, screw pipes up. Then find a garage that will gas you up cheaply.
BEWARE: if you run the car without gas (AC gas that is) disconnect the clutch wire from the pump. Or it might burn out again.
In UK you came be re gassed for as low as £40($75).
I don't know about US, should be cheaper (you guys have more cars with AC)
