What does this mean? Could be a seized bearing or stuck brake.

SOURCE: the rear right tire is

Jack up the car and remove the right rear wheel. Check to see if the brake is frozen on (drum brake - you should be able to pull off the drum; disk brake, you should be able to slide a piece of stiff paper between the caliper and rotor). If the brake is locked on, first see if the parking brake cable is jammed in its housing at the wheel.

If it is not the brake, your wheel bearing may be seized up. You'll have to pull it apart and replace it, and you may also have to replace the axle (if the axle is bent, galled, cracked or discolored, it's a risk for breakage, which is at least as dangerous as a tire blowout).

Why would my rear wheels lock up on my 2000 Geo Tracker?

Christine, Park brake may be stuck on or partially stuck, this is the main reason but it could be something else and should be checked out by a good technician.

My 2000 dodge neon has a loud noise coming from the front and feels like something is not letting the tire move freely

Safty first,Can you safely jack the frount of the car chalk the rear tires and put the transmission in nuetal. Try to spin the wheel by hand. Then take the wheel off and checked your brakes? It could be be the brake pads or caliber locking up. Or as simple as a rock stuck in there. I hope this helps you.

Rear passenger tire on ford ranger locks up when moving forward

Pull the brake drum off to see what's binding-brakes won't retract, emergency brake is stuck, a brake shoe return spring may be broken. Raise the rear and take both drums off to compare left and right side brakes and all the parts therein.

92 riviera rear tire wont rotate

Does it have rear drum or disk brakes. Remove the right rear tire. If you have drum brakes, the brake material may have separated and got wedged against the drum.

Right rear tire making clicking noise when going forward

is the tire flat? Have you physically taken the wheel off the right rear and inspected the tire for screws, metal pieces, rocks or other things stuck in the tire? Go do that right now..and see if something is there.

Brakes freezing in reverse and back right tire won't move by hand when jacked up

Sounds like you have a stuck caliper, they run $35-50 for the rears on that vehicle, They are not that difficult to replace, just be sure to bleed the brakes well after replacing it and check for leaks. If it has been like this for a long while. I would inspect the brake pads, and rotor while your there and replace them if they are worn.

96 Plymouth Neon rear tire locked up

Parking brake is stuck ( possibly ),engauging parking brake a few times which in most cases will not help ( never know when they stick ) and at the back of the drum backing plate towards the axle will be the cable give it a couple good tuggs to release it and do not use it again or replace the cables ( if that is the case), if it will not release and or is free the you may have contamination in the brake lines to the rear right causing the caliper to be stuck open. The bleed the rear brake line best possible solution after that garage.
