Hello the wiper motor axel is stucked by rust and the hole viper motor must be changed or renewed with a used/better one.
To prevent the battery from draining remove the multiplug connector from the rear viper engine. (Remember to remove the negative cable from the battery)
When the viper motor is stucked the power circuit can`t close in position and this is why your battery is being drained for power.
Depends on which 3.8 you have because there were two avaliable in that car .One was the buick 231 cubic in and the distributor was on the fron of the engine. The other was the chevy 229 cubic inch engine and the distibutor was in the back just like on the small block v8.If you have the buick motor be prepared to swap everything including wiring harness and transmission. If you have the chevy v6 it not so bad but you will really need a donor car(monte carlo, cutlas, lemans)with a 305 or 350 for the wiring harness ,radiator shroud ( shorter on the v8) ,a/c lines (longer on the v8).Years ago I had a lemans wagon with the chevy 3.8 that i put a Monte Carlo ss motor in and it looked like it came with it.bought a wrecked mc( hit in the rear) and swapped everything.Including coil springs and sway bars front and rear. And yes the SS 15 inch wheels too! It was a real cool sleeper.Miss that car.
For the 1990 Chevrolet C1500 454ci = 7.4L V8 = "ss" = "big block"
Click on the the following: direct, Free Link. It has the Serpentine Belt Diagram for the 7.4L (454ci). I'm not sure what you want on the "wiring" part??

I suspect you have had an oil pump failure. To get at the rotory gear oil pump you will have to drop the oil pan. After you take the pan off, ( having drained the oil the oil pump is what the oil pick up line leads into. That pick up assy. is a round shaped disc with a screen inside it. Clean the screen first then the oil pump. Install new oil pan gasket on reassembly. Hope that helps you. Please let me know.
Hopefully the engine was not damaged when the pump broke. If it was you may need a complete engine rebuild, MAYBE.
