My oil cover was loose and all my oil drained so in the middle of the road the car died. I tried to start is it cranks but wont start and i dont know what the problem is it is a 2002 daewoo lanos hatchback

first thing we need to chek for is spark in ignition system, fuel psi, injector trigger from ecm(noid lite action) and finally if we have all these u need to chek engine compression in the cylinders. very possible u could have a torn timing belt.

My husbands F250 started having problems this week. When he would turn the truck off to go in somewhere and come back out it wouldn't start. It is a stick, so if he was on a hill he could get it started....

the ignition module is what it sounds like to me.... with the heated module functioning sporadically.
The bucking like a horse and dieing indicates a timing issue though.
are you getting any codes?

96 Oldsmobile ciera runs great but dies randomly driving or idle

I would try replacing the ignition module located on the front of the engine where the plug wires connect. The ignition moduel is where the ignition coils them selves screw down to and a harnes plugs into.

Starts buts dies instantly ! how do i reset

You may have damaged the chip inside the key fob. If you are using a new key it won't let you use it without the small chip located in the small part of the key lock assembly on the flip key end. If you have purchased and cut a new key you can take this old module apart remove the chip and put it in new assembly or tape it beside the ignition. The dealer is your only other choice, good luck.

You'll need a new ignition switch. After installation, the dealer can either reprogram your old keys or you can buy a new key and have it programmed.

89 bronco II stars then dies

if the fuel pump cutoff was tripped it would not start at all, I know this for sure, I am a Ford dealer tech and I specialize in no starts and check eng lights. If the ignition switch is bad the 2 halves of the switch will be starting to come apart, it is very common, u should be able to either see it or feel it with your hand.

Car starts, then dies within 2or3 seconds.

Try this start eng and before it dies disconnect the starter solenoid, and hold the ignition in the crank position like you are starting it, if the engine remains running replace the ignition switch, they come apart and cause this issue
