simple answer is pop along to your local ford dealer and pop the bonnet on a used car.or if you live on an estate sure one of your neighbours would be only too helpfull.otherwise its a long explanation of how to find no 1 cylinder wire then no 2 etc.length of wires dont help much does it.
If indeed the bonnet cannot be opened from inside the car, then you are going to have to climb under or figure out how to get to the latch under the bonnet and open it. Hard pain in the rear but its the only way
CUT BACK THE COVERING ON THE BROKEN RELEASE HANDLE CABLE TO EXPOSE THE INNER CABLE WIRE CORE AND WITH A PAIR OF LOCKING PLIERS LIKE VISE GRIPS PULL ON THAT CABLE WIRE CORE WHILE SOMEONE PUSHES DOWN ON THE HOOD/BONNET OVER THE AREA WHERE THE HOOD LATCH IS LOCATED TO RELEASE THE SPRING TENSION ON THE LATCH
my escort ven w reg the wiring has melted, it kept blowing the fuse (22) position 20apm fuse then i could smell burning and some smoke was coming out of my bonnet, i've had a look and traced the wire to a plug that goes to my diesel pump, any idea;s??!!
Some of the Escorts do not have central locking. If the keys open both front doors, the hatch and fit the ignition then I would not worry too much about it. You may find that you also have a hatch release catch at the side of the drivers seat also. I trust this information helps you.
Hi there, open the bonnet and bellow windscreen wippers is a black block with resistors and three electrical contacts. On my Ford Escort Estate'97 TD I disassambled and sand blast the electrical contacts in order to clean corrosion. After I did that all three blower position(speed) work as suppose to do.Hope that help.
disconnect the bonnet switch under the hood behind the right headlight .should stop the alarm.let me know how you get on with this.will the doors open manually with key in door.or they wont open with remote as you did not specify
