Cdx 2.0 1999 Nubira heater control rotates but system is stuck on HOT

Remove the cover from around the heater controls. There will be four screws you must undo to remove the actual control section. Look behind the heater knob and you will see a cable covered in plastic, similar to a bike brake cable. The end of that needs to be firmly placed in the clear plastic holder behind the heater knob. You can use gaffa tape or similar to hold it in. You can then put everything back and the heater will now turn off.

2002 Jeep Liberty heater works, but defroster blows cold air

Use this procedure to ensure that the A/C-heater control is correctly calibrated to the blend door actuator. If the calibration is not correct, the heating-A/C system may experience a condition where full heating or cooling capabilities cannot be obtained.
Manual calibration of the A/C-heater control should be performed if the blend door actuator is not functioning properly, or if the temperature of the conditioned air is too warm with the temperature control in the full cold position or too cool with the temperature control in the full hot position.
NOTE This calibration procedure can only be started within the first ten seconds after the ignition switch has been turned from the OFF position to the ON position. Make sure that the battery is fully charged prior to beginning the calibration procedure. NOTE The length of the pause made at each end of the temperature control rotation (sweep) is important. 5 seconds) or too long (greater than 1.5 seconds).
  1. With the ignition switch in the OFF position, move the temperature control to its middle (12 o'clock) position.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (do not start the engine).
  3. Within 10 seconds of turning the ignition switch from the OFF to the ON position, perform the following rotations (sweeps) of the temperature control.
    • From the 12 o'clock position, rotate the temperature control counter-clockwise to the full cold position. Pause one second.
    • Rotate the control clockwise to the full hot position. Pause one second.
    • Rotate the control counter-clockwise to the full cold position. Pause one second.
    • Rotate the control clockwise to the full hot position. Pause one second.
    • Rotate the control counter-clockwise to the full cold position.

timing on modern cars is computer controled and cant be changed, unless computer is reflashed.

Heater wont work

Could be the diverter valve. It's the one located near the firewall2_bing.gif in the engine bay. The valve is in-line on one of the two coolant hoses that run through the firewall2_bing.gif. Have a helper rotate the temperature knob back and forth, with the ignition turned on, and you watch to see if the valve is being adjusted. I'm guessing it isn't. Sometimes the cable pops off its perch, other times someting is broken on one end of it or the other. Plastic parts are often used in this assembly. Best of luck

Rotate the automatic tensioner hex–key tab anti-clockwise until the adjust arm pointer of the timing belt automatic tensioner is aligned with the notch in the timing belt automatic tensioner bracket.
then turn engine over 2 turns and recheck marks and tensioner pointer

Change alternator on daewoo nubira

first you need to remove the belt . there are only several bolts to remove the alternator . there should be a diagram on the panel by the hood prop rod to show the belt route

Over revving in park and nutral on a 2l auto estate Nubira


This is a problem with the "auto throttle control unit" (SilverwolfRA, yes aka - auto choke).

A car computer mechanic downloaded the info. from my 1999 Nubira and then adjusted as necessary. It didn't repair to complete (as new) functionality (as the unit is damaged?), but I'm happy with the result.

Aircon works but blows hot air

I had the same problem (during Summer!!) - If you take the Fan/A.C/Temp Control panel off, you'll probably find the plastic bracket that the control cable mounts to, is broken. I just used 3 zip-ties to hold everything in place. 30 minutes work, & 50c parts!! No problems since.
