Honda stream 2009 'D' blinking light. diagnostic says po843 code

take it in, get it fixed ? stream?) not sold here, so has nada.
or if DIY person
RTM , read the manual the FSM. its all there, look up 843
it tells you all the tests to do , that isolates the true cause of failure.

D flash means the tranny TCM is unhappy.
the CEL glowing too.
the P0843 means.
P0843: Open in Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch A (2nd Clutch) Circuit, or Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch A (2nd Clutch) Stuck OFF

first google hit.

OBD2 codes,
D flash is in the operators guide, it says, bad tranny.
lost the guide? ive posted it 100 times now. the link, need it?

obd2 is easy P0xx codes are USA FED, spec codes ( a standard)

google is really your friend, 1st hit , bingo,

overwhelmed, ? yes, A/Ts are on the extreme complex side.

ask any ASE badged mechanic, for help.
the dealer will be (stealerships) like $6000 fix, 1/2 tranny and 1/2labor.
btw 1:
if tranny slips dont drive it, or the costs to fix rise fast.

as you can see, it can be
1: bad wires.
2: bad sensor.
3: bad transmission.
only testing finds the cause, and wire inspections and maybe new sensor and pray.

what skinflints do (or just smart) is reset it (OBD2 scan tool reset) and see if it comes back , praying its a 1 time ever error. this decade.
see>? this is true with all DTC'S, reset and pray.
or in the case of 455s tighten the gas cap, reset and pray.

DTCS are errors. (onboard, diagnostic monitor errors)

ABS light comes on... but no noticble degradation in operation etc.

Most likely a wheel speed sensor, hopefully... The only thing that will change when the ABS light is on is that the ABS will not function as long as the indicator is on. I hope this info helps.

When the airbag system is in functioning condition, the airbag warning light will remain on for about 7 seconds and go out when the ignition switch is set to ON .

If there is any malfunction, the airbag warning light will either stay on or off continuously. In such cases, perform on-board diagnostic in accordance with the specified procedure to determine trouble codes.

  1. Turn ignition switch ON (with engine OFF ).

  1. Connect DIAG. terminal to No.2 terminal of diagnosis connector located inside lower cover.
  2. Check in accordance with the trouble code indicated by the AIRBAG warning light, and record the trouble codes.
  3. Turn the ignition switch "OFF " and remove the DIAG. terminal from No.2 terminal of diagnosis connector.

The ABS lamp flashes a code corresponding to the faulty parts.

The long segment (1.2 secs on) indicates a "ten", and the short segment (0.3 secs on) indicates a "one".

NOTE: This is the only information provided by the manufacturer for clearing diagnostic trouble codes.

After eliminating problem as per trouble code, clear memory as follows:

Make sure ignition switch is ON (and engine off). Connect one DIAG. terminal (1) on diagnosis connector (2) terminal No.1.

where warning light is flashing, connect the other DIAG. terminal (3) on terminal No. 2 for at least three seconds . After memory is cleared, normal warning light flashing rate resumes. (Warning light flashes every 0.6 seconds (ON-OFF operation.) Memory cannot be cleared if any problem exists.

After clear memory and then DIAG. terminals (1) and (3), extract from diagnosis connector (2)
