Question about 1998 Ford Expedition
I was wondering what the fix for your expedition was when it was overheating and all the engine lights were coming on. would appreciate it, the ford dealer is no help. thank you
It was the water pump. they replaced the water pump and now it runs ok... but from what i hear it could only be 4 things... thermostat, water pump, or head gasket, or your car may not really be over heating and has a bad sensor...this is a problem where it will be easy for a mechanic to take advantage of a customer. they claim it was the water pump but i think it was the sensor. they charged me $360. i felt like i got robbed because the pump only cost like $60 and i had someone who would have done it for $80. now im having problems with my assing gear. i cannot floor this thing for nothing but it picks up when i let off of the gas.
