Are you sure the light is for your emergency brake? It could also mean low brake fluid or a burnt out brake light. However if it isn't on constantly I would suspect either you have a leak and the brake fluid is getting low, or the emergency brake pedal is slightly down and geography the light on and off. The pedal switch could also be loose or faulty.

SOURCE: airbag light on

You have 2 separate problems. If the airbag light is on, then the control unit needs to be serviced. You will need to read the code from your diagnostic port. After that, replace the component indicated by the code.

The brake light could be low fluid in the reservoir or an indication that the emergency brake cable has stretched and you no longer get enough tension to operate the switch. Check the reservoir first. If that does not fix it, play with the emergency brake to see if you can get the light to go off. If you can, then you need to find the adjuster on the cable and tighten it.

VW golf mk4 press brake warning light not coming on

What brake are you talking about? The emergency brake or the brake pedal. Warning lights only come on when 1, there is a leak ing the system while driving and you loose pressure, 2. upon starting the vehicle as a bulb check, 3. When you apply the emergency brake. Have the brake switch on the pedal and emergency brake checked also check the bulb. If the bulb lit upon startup, it is probably the switch. Please give more details so that we can be better able to help you.

Emergency brake light on my 1994 Toyota Camry won't shut off even after I replaced e-brake light switch.

If you disconnect the wire(s) coming from the switch, does the light say on? If so, there may be a short to ground fro the switch to the lamp. You would need to replace or have the wire replaced.

Emergency brake light stays on the dash. is it a troubleshooting light?

It probably indicates that the cable is not being fully retracted when brake is disengaged. Spray as much of cable as possible with WD-40, allow to sit for a few hours, the engage and disengage the brake several times untill it loosens. If this fails the cable may be stretched and needs to be replaced.

The brake light comes on, on the dash. Brakes work O.K.2003 mercury grand marquis. 112000 miles. the dealer says the pads are good.

Make sure your emergency brake pedal is all the way up, because sometimes if it goes down one notch, that can trigger that light to come on..It wont be enough to drag or slow the sar down, but it will be enough to turn that light on...Also even though your brakes are good..double check your break fluid level...

2004 explorer brake light will blink here and there while driving

check and make sure brake fluid is full, if so then the emergency brake has a switch on it that will make the brake light come on. to check this get in vehicle and push emergency brake then release it then take your hand and wiggle the emergency brake peddle and see if the light comes on and off. if so then the peddle is not comming all the way up against the switch this may be solved by just pulling up on the peddle each time the emergency brake is released,
