Looking down on the headlight assembly there should be two 10 mm bolts one on left of the assembly one on the right of the assembly then move the assembly side to side while pulling out some grand prixs also have two plastic clips where the 10 mm bolts are instead they pull up and then you jiggle the assembly out towards you careful somtimes the plastic on the headlight assembies get pretty brittle and breaks easily

Replace headlight on a Pontiac Grand Prix

The Grand Prix uses separate bulbs for low beams and high beams. The low beams are located on the outer edge of the headlight assemblies while the high beams are located on the inner edge of the assemblies. With this in mind, locate the position of the burned out bulb prior to replacing it.

2002 pontiac grand prix gt. High beams are dimmer

A loose ground wire to the headlight will keep it dim,Or a headlight adjustment will bring the headlight up.If you can have your headlight turned on a garage door or something at night, and then watch as you change your headlights from low beam to high beam which ones are higher.the last thing to verify is that your high beam headlights are not the plastic lens type that turn dull which cuts the light power.

Headlights need adjusting

The headlights will have small rods or adjusting screws located near the headlight mounting points. Will probably need a torx socket or screwdriver to adjust. Torx is a 6 point type screw.
