The system refrigerant charge was most likely low but not empty, so you would get a burst of pressure and oil, the oil that lubricates the AC compressor circulates with the refrigerant. Does this make sense?

Look for a vacuum hose that may be cracked, leaking or completely off the engine intake manifold.

On my 2001 Honda Accord EX, the cooling fans will not come on when the air conditioner is turned on and it will not cool. What is causing this?

sounds like an air conditioning issue if your only complaint is the fans not coming on when air conditioning is used. you need to have the a/c sys checked out to see if you have a leak or perhaps refrigerant may be low. sometimes you may have a compressor that no longer works so the system may not be building up pressure so the pressure switch does not cycle the fans.

2003 honda accord. I have an air condition line with a block in it that is under the dash. my mechanic told me it would be $800.00. sounds a little steep. is there a way to flush the lines and save...

You do not have an a/c hose blockage unless you
have a major compressor failure

Get a second opinion

What actual proof were you given of their diagnoses

They are guessing at best

Was it an evaporator leak, under the dash
& you didn't understand what you were told?

Air conditioning isn't coming out as cold as it should

you just might be low on freon...have it checked at your local repair shop or you can even add it yourself just look for the fill valve on the (big) low pressure line from the compressor

How do I change the expansion valve in a 1995 honda accord

YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM DISCHARGED AT THE DEALERSHIP. OR AIR CONDITIONER REPAIR SHOP.YOU ALSO HAVE TO DISABLE YOUR AIR BAGS.YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE EVAPORATOR HOUSING TO GET TO THE EXPANSION VALVE.YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE GLOVE BOX AND GLOVE BOX FRAME.TO GET OUT THE EVAPORATOR HOUSING.REMOVE EVAPORATOR CORE FROM HOUSING TO REMOVE EXPANSION VALVE.THIS JOB IS REALLY A DEALERSHIP JOB.YOUR AC SYSTEM HAS TO BE EVACUATED CHARGED AND LEAK TEST.BEFORE YOUR AC SYSTEM WORK PROPERLY.

2001 Accord EX - Front passenger side carpet is soaking wet

The drain on the a/c evaporator gets clogged, you have to raise the car on a lift, or get under the car, on the right side of the car under the fire wall you will see a black rubber hose ( about a 1/2 inch in size) pointing down, you will need to blow compressed air in the hose to clear the blockage.

The Freon goes into the "suction" hose/pipe assembly. There will be a service port on this hose. The low side (blue) hose of the manifold gauge set gets connected to this fitting. The suction hose can be identified by it's larger diameter (compared to the discharge and liquid hoses). The suction hose will run from the compressor across the top of the radiator (slightly behind the radiator), then back towards the firewall on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. The service port is generally closer to the firewall, than to the compressor.
