Question about 2000 Cadillac Eldorado
Take it to a mechanic. This has happened to me on two separate occasions due to different malfunctionings. My first encounterance with this problem ( shutting down while driving), turned out to be a malfunctioning crank sensor in the engine. The problem was"fixed" after I took it to a mechanic and replaced that. Btw, it took them a long time to figure out that was the problem. A Few years later to about 2 months ago, my car had the same problem again. Only this time, the problem was with the fuel injection system. So I ended up having to replace the whole fuel pump assembly at the dealership, which was quite costly.
So, take it to a mechanic to pinpoint the problem. It can be a several number os things.
