where do you put feeon in a lincoln town car

  • Anonymous Mar 19, 2009

I changed the fuse or whatever you call it under the hood and it helped. But basically after the AC runs for a while it blows hot. Then I shut it off and it will blow cool for a while then hot again. It is not as bad as it was after I changed that fuse/plug but it still does it.

Does the fuse blow as soon as the a/c is turned on? You can have a bad "clutch coil" that is shorted internally, a "hot" wire touching ground. Lots of things...u really need to be more specific.

I have a 2002 pt cruiser that is blowing the ac 10amp fuse repeatedly. I mean within minutes of changing it. Also the ac is only blowing hot air. Can someone please help.

An AC system blowing hot air is usually due to a low freon charge or a non operational AC compressor. If the fuse blows, disconnect the compressor electrical plug and turn on the AC. If the fuse doesn't blow, suspect a compressor problem. If the fuse continues to blow with the compressor disconnected, there is a direct short between the ON/OFF switch and the compressor which can take hours to diagnose

My 2010 chevy malibu ac won't work, the fuse blows when I turn it on but nothing is grounded out could it be a bad compressor causing this?

If the fuse blows, unplug the compressor wire to the clutch and replace the fuse and try again. If the fuse doesn't blow, the compressor is the problem. If the fuse blows suspect a direct short in the wiring from the relay to the compressor

Fuse keeps blowing on a/c on 2001 dodge truck

Let's break this down.
1 Does the fuse blow when the heater is on, or just the AC?
Yes- Fan motor problem likely need new blower motor.
No- 2
2 Disconnect the AC compressor clutch wire. Remove the blown AC fuse, connect a multimeter across the sockets for the fuse, measure DC voltage across the two sockets with the AC switch, and Ignition switch ON. Is Battery voltage present?
Yes- The wiring harness has a short between the output of the AC switch and ground, likely a pinched harness.
No- The AC compressor clutch is shorted. Replace either the whole compressor or the clutch.

Mazda 626 ac fuse keeps blowing

Try unplugging the compressor then put in a new fuse. If the fuse does not blow, the problem may be the clutch on the compressor.

No ac nd my fan stop working completely

Fuses blow because of higher than normal amperage in the circuit. Not sure what circuit the blown fuse is for but if it is for the fan the fan may be shorted therefore blowing the fuse. If you put fuse in while the ac was still on try shutting off the ac then putting the fuse in. See if it blows then if it doesn't then turn the ac on and if it blows you have at the very least isolated the system at fault.

Fuse keeps blowing

If fuse keeps blowing that means that there is a shortage on AC wiring or switch controlling the air conditioner.

Also an abnormal power draw from AC caused by an internal fault on AC can cause the fuse to blow.
Test wiring and switch with a voltmeter, the most common is that there is a short to ground between wiring and car body somewere.

2001 toyota corolla blows 7.25 fuse when turn on ac

I would guess that your AC compresser clutch is shorted out. Try this: Look down into the area where the compresser is, and unplug the wire going to it. Replace the fuse, and try the switch. If the fuse does not blow, you need an AC clutch assembly. Let me know what you find out.
Hope this helps.
