I was jumping my 1995 Geo Prizm and my friend put battery posts backwards on his battery now my car has no dash lights nothing can you tell me what this is

You blew a Fuse!!! THAT'S WHY THEY recomend to put the black negative wire cable to the engine not the battery the ECU could be compromise if you dont, lucky for you its just the fuse or the wheel that makes it brighter and turns your interior courtesy lights on, .good luck.

Battery placed in backwards

You probably blew a main fuse or circuit breaker. I believe your fuse box is on the driver side under the hood. Check your owners manual for fuse I.D. Then check the main fuses.

78 f250 battery backwards

Could be fusible Master link which is sometimes around battery and runs to fuse box. Looks like fat wire and melts connection from battery to body.

Another possibility is the wires to the Ignition switch. Most are inactive until the Ignition is turned on, but with reversed polarity things can happen.

Fusible Relays. You are lucky most of your truck is not computerized. But there may be an Ignition relay and a Light relay. Some had a grey module on the distributor.

Test for the fusible link first and see if it has melted. If you have power to the fuse box, check that there is power on the power side of the panel.

Hooked up battery backwards car will trun over but seems like there is no spark

You may have blown out a fusible link. They can be cut out and replaced. Look around the battery for a wire whose insulation looks partially melted, or bubbled out a bit. Fusible links act like fuses and burn out before further damage in the wiring circuits occur. They are located near the battery because they distribute power to different circuits. Today, maxi-fuses in power distribution boxes or centers have largely done away with fusible links.

I put my battery in wrong in my 95 avalon now nothing happens when I trun the key, whats wrong?

It all depends on how lucky you are today. Connecting the battery backwards can destroy some high-dollar stuff. If you are really lucky, you will only have a blown fuse (or fuses). Check both of your main fuse blocks on the left side of the engine compartment,
One of the boxes is called the "Fusible Link" box and the other is called the "Engine Compartment Junction Block" (J/B) (See picture below).
Your main circuits are protected by the 40 Amp and 80 Amp fusible links in the Fusible Link box and the 120 Amp Alternator Fuse in the Junction Block. You will most likely find one or more of these fuses/fusible links blown.

Battery was put on backwards, ,

Check the fuse box for more blown fuses it is located under the spare compartment above the hood release. You simply pull off the compartment unit and the fuse box is inside. You should find your spare fuses and your fuse pull tool. To install the compartment unit again just set the bottom part on the lip and close it, you'll hear a metal click and you are good.
blown fuses
