Is it just a small toot or is it like a loud blast? if its a small toot....and you have keyless entry chances are the module that controls your lock, unlock, trunk release, etc. has a minor bug in it and probably needs to be replaced.

the horn that is going off will be energised by the alarm system. You need a shop that can fix car alarms not horns.

Horn not working

Go to your horn and check the voltage there with a multimeter. You should get battery volts when the horn button is pressed. If you get voltage some cars have horn relays that can be changed easily.

Horn does not work

Guessing it's an SE. If 20A fuse 20 in the power distribution center is OK, pressing the horn switch closes the horn relay and the horn(s) should blow. If not, the horn(s), horn relay or horn switch could be defective. There's not much else that go go wrong

The horn keeps going off even after the car is off

The horn works when the horn button is pushed...breaking the circuit or removing the ground from the horn. The wire between your horn and your horn button has come lose somewhere. I would remove the horn fuse until you can find the problem.

My horn doesn't work. The fuse is good and the relay clicks when I push the horn. I swapped the relay with the one next to it and got the same results. Where do I go from here. I have not yet found the...

you need to find the horn(usually behind the front body panels)as you face the car.possibly behind the grill.if the relay is clicking it sounds like the horn is no good and needs may have to look up under the front of the car to find the horn.

The horn contact is embedded in the outer horn pad
The change in the climate eventually shrinks the pad and the horn will go off by itself
Replace the horn pad is all that can be done

My nissan 200sx se car horn just started going off for no reason. This has happend to my car before. So we unplugged the batterey for tempoary solution, but now i cant drive my car anywhere.

Remove horn button from steering wheel, pull apart and see if the foam between the plates is deteriorated. that keeps the horn from going off. i had similar problem in my 88 mustang, also horn relay may be bad and stiking on if horn button is not the problem

The horn in my 98 saturn sl broke.

It sounds like you have a short to ground problem.check to see how many wires go to your horn and make sure the horn is compatable with the cars system. Most horns have constant power going to them and the the horn button makes the ground to honk the horn.Make sure you have the correct wire attached to the horn. You may have to Isolate the horn from ground too stop the draw of current
