I have an L Reg 316 and the engine seems to cough and splutter around 3000-3200 RPM in any gear, even 5th.

- i have same proplem .. that it take late to change the transmition from the first to second, it reach until 3000 rpm..i asked too many people they tell me u have problem in body valve in the transmition,, - bmw-bh
