My 1999 Expedition's air suspension is lopsided. The left side is lower than the right. The compressor comes on and works to raise the right side but not the left. Your help is greatly needed and appreciated

The coils, will you will check onthe coils if they are in right possition, sometimes offroading can cause this, best bet is to check all the sag levels and then make sure that they have the same rebound and compression, because this can also be the effect if 2 or 1 of the suspensions do not have the same damp settings as with the others.

hope this help, good luck, just let me know if you will need more information about this.

if you really want to get this close like 20 - 20 vision, you may want to take it to an Authorized Ford Mechanic because they will use a special machine to balance your suspension settings.

What couses the air suspension to air up more then it shoould on a 1999 ford expedition ?

There are height sensors. One for the rear end and I believe one at each front wheel .If the vehicle is going up on all four corners then chances are you've got a controller issue , but if it's only in the front or rear then you've got a sensor issue.Hope this helps

How to change rear air suspension on 1999 ford

The air suspension can be a tricky thing to mess with. When we were looking to replace just one of the rear bags it was going to be costly. My husband did some checking around online and found Strutmasters.com.
They offered great products at a great price and we were very pleased with the outcome of the replacement of the non air system. If you are replacing the entire system you are looking at a pretty penny. I would check Strutmasters out before you replace the air on your Expedition.

The rear suspension is down on my 1999 Ford Expedition - Eddie Bauer. The cause: while out in the woods I came across a small dip which cause my back left wheel to lift off the ground. The suspension...

I had a 1999 Expedition. When you put the 4x4 on it raises the vehicle an extra inch or 2.
It may help to turn the 4x4 off. Two wheel drive is a lower air setting.
Your original pump may still be good. The problem can be in the front. The compressor is not filling the front suspension to the cutoff point. It will lift the rear after the front end is at running height. Since you lost the front end first, the remaining air bled out there and then the rear came down. Once you shut down the car the suspension was done, all the air was let go.
There are adjustment solenoids on the body but you need someone qualified to repair this.
