I drilled out my ignition cause I lost my key I now found the key and it won't turn need help asap

you damaged the ignition switch and it will not recognize key you have to replace the tumbler and ignition switch the key acts like an electronic switch in most modern vehicles put key in and its recolonized and will turn and start vehicle ---damage to key or tumbler sets off anti theft and you have no start ---in future dont try to hot wire or pop ignition when keys are lost (thats all hollywood) go to dealer with vin and proof of ownership and they can cut you a new key

How can I hot wire my ford Taurus? I lost my key

Problem with hot wiring the ignition is that the vehicle will start and run but with out turning the ignition the steering wheel will be locked > I suggest a new ignition switch , you can always hammer a flat head screw driver in the ignition were the key goes and turn the ignition. Either way you will need a new ignition switch .

My car wont start lost my key so got an ignition barrel and key out of a different car wat do i need to do? plz if anyone can help plz

Your car is probably fitted with an immobiliser , you need to have the original key in the car when you start it or replace the immobiliser module and key with a programmed chip to match that immobiliser , otherwise go to the dealer with VIN number and they will replace the key (not cheap usually) the trick is the immobiliser chip in the key must match the one in the car , it's a security feature .

No your ignition is a different lock but it could be keyed the same by a locksmith or possibly one could be ordered to match it from the factory based on your vehicle identification number.

My car is standard (if that matters). I will turn my key over. It'll start up fine. I can not hear any problems. My gauges all look fine, but after a couple seconds it will die down and shut off.

If you have a chip key , it may have lost its programming. Either you are having a problem with the microchip in the key or the ignition switch is not reading the the key. If you put an unprogrammed chip key in the ignition and start the car it will idle for three seconds and turn off. Have you tried a different key? If a different key exhibits the same behavior, the problem is probably with the key reader on the ignition switch.
