I've recently bought a 1983 300D turbo diesel. when I start the car one hot afternoon, and when I went to turn on the A/C, no air blows out of the fans, no matter how I switch the controls on the panel, it wont blow any air out the fans, what could be the problem?

Check the fuses under the hood. These are the old style exposed ceramic fuses, they have been known to go out from over heating alone. It sounds like the fan is not getting power. If this is the original fan motor, I almost guarantee that the brushes are used up. (Same w/my 300sd) If thats the case and you don't see the dealer fixing it because of the potential cost, a mitsubishi eclipse 1994-1998(from a junkyard) has a small enough diameter of a fan that it fits into the mercedes housing. Be careful and you should have someone of mechanical skill there to help

Where is the fuel regulator kia sedona

check the turbo for failure and check the intercooler for cracks and leaks . check the hose clamps . have the tips of the injectors cleaned / replaced and if you want to blow the engine continue to use easy start. Diesels are compression ignition engines and that means the air is white hot at the point of injection of the diesel and any fuel substance introduced will spontaneous ignite and bend con-rods and crack pistons.

I had one of our work trucks do something similar. It turned out to be the tube that goes to the charged air cooler was split. This is a large plastic tube that carries the pressurized air from the turbo to the chraged air cooler (it's in front of the radiator) then back to the engine.
Start the engine and have some one hold it at a fast idle and feel around for an air leak on those tubes. Be careful not get your hands in the belt or fan.

I am sorry to say: Replace AC-control unit. The whole box with the controls and everything.

I-ve been told that some have managet to fix it by replacing some resistors inside the controller, but the problem came back.

Remove the knobs for temperature adjustment, remove the two screws that is behind them, and pull the box out.

Assembly in the reverse order.

Diesel 6.0 running very bad and getting too hot

What you have described is a classic turbo air leak. Check the clamps & air lines from the turbo to the intake. If you do not find an air leak (you should be able to hear the air escaping) it will be a turbo problem. Unlike gasoline engines too much fuel in proportion to the air will cause the vehicle to run hot and also to smoke.

Ones the diesel engine gets weak its thn a hard start!, becausea diesel engine mainly fires up on good compression, i guess its time for an engine overhaul .
