The reason the radio won't work is because of theft deterrent stuff built in radios now where if power is unhooked from the battery, you have to enter a code to get it unlocked. I would start by looking at your owners manual to see if there is a paper or page that would give the code you need to press to unlock it. If no luck there, I would go to the nearest GM dealer and tell them what happened and they should help you out and most likely not charge you anything.
It sounds like your ignition tumbler is going back or your ignition switch. Hopefully this helps you out and gives you a place to start looking. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Good luck.
Press station 1 and 6 and turn the ignition key to on position but donot start the vehicle, you will see the unlock code flashing, note the number that is your radio code, read your vehicle manual and insert code to unlock.
You can try this website. http://www.instant-radio-code.co.uk/chrysler-jeep-code-search.php Hope that helps. But I don't think there is a code for the dodge neon. I believe the radio is broken. You can try replacing the fuse in the back if there is one or completely unplugging the radio to reset it, not the battery.
Also had no radio but flashing bass/treble indicator lights. As suggested by another post, I disconnected neg. batt. cable and pulled the "interior cluster" fuses, re-set them and then reconnected batt. cable. This fixed the radio.
There are a couple of ways here...first if you bought the car new then you should have received a "credit card" with your owners manual, that should have the activation code on it, if you purchased the car used then you will have to go to the dealership and show proof that you are the owner of that car and they will look up the code and give it to you.
