These are electronic so the first call is the fuse box.
If not it may be the electric lock has packed up . Check your manual as there may be a manual overide cable.
If not it needs to go to a dealer as they have tools to release it.
It may also be that the roof safety mechanism hasnt engaged properly (this is to prevent the roof from being damaged when the boot has opened) . Again this can be checked by a vauxhall dealer.
P.S 9 out of 10 times its the fuse.
Many electrical faults on the Twintop are caused by the wiring loom breaking inside its sheath. The weak spot on any folding roof system from any manufacturer will be those components which fold, bend or twist when the roof operates. Alfa Spiders blow hydraulic hoses because of this. I would suggest you look at those part of the wiring loom which are taped to the boot hinges. Cut back the outer sheath and peel it away then check the actual cables for electrical continuity. If you cannot find anything I suggest calling a mobile professional auto-electrician. He will have specialist gear for finding breaks in wiring.
Hi there, put the key in the ignition and turn the key to position 2 (so the lights come on the dashboard and you will have to make sure all the doors are closed before doing it). Then just either hold down the lock or unlock button down on the keyfob until the key syncs with the central locking, the car might lock and unlock itself with the button pressed down. That should be it. Let me know if it works
Go to GM Vauxhall website and it will indicate where to archive User Handbooks, or invest in a Haynes Manual, which as a new owner of a late model, I would suggest, be a better and safer bet. You then have 99% of Repair and Fault Finding information. Cheaper than a Garage if you have DIY expertise.
In the UK, about 25 GBP.
