New battery and camshaft actuator truck is flashing check engine light and shutting off

when the check engine light keep flashing, means a severe misfire it's happening, the vehicle should not be driven to avoid engine damage
I will check the spark in cylinder number one, if good blue spark it's present, then I will check the engine compression just to be sure nothing bad has happened, above 150psi it's good compression
if compression it's good then look into the injectors, engine timing clogged exhaust computer controls.

We have a 1993 Mercedes 400 SEL. The climate control unit has a problem where it will keep turning on and killing the battery. We have been disconnecting the battery cables every time we shut down for more...

The ASR and ABS are voltage sensitive, so each time you disconnect them from power, they will reset. To cancel the ASR light, start engine then turn steering wheel full lock to right, then lock to left...ASR should extinguish. ABS light should then go out once you drive above 8 mph for 100yards or so. Until you can have the climate control looked at by a professional, I would locate and remove the fuse for it when you park up. Much better than disconnecting battery.

01 Suburban with abs system. abs light came on

A relay controls the ABS motor. You can trace the wires running to it. The next time you shut the engine off unplug the relay. If that shuts it off get a new relay for the old one will not open its circuit to shut off the motor to the ABS motor

Disconnecting the wires may consequently cause non function of ure vehicle speed reading as the system is dependant on your wheel speed suplied by ure abs speed sensors, it might also result in non starting depending on wheather or not the abs ecu is a main ecu or not, i strongly suggest you get hold of a proper wiring diagram and get sum one clued up to rather bypass the system by briging the concerned cercuits the proper way,
