Question about 2005 Ford Freestar
One thing that Freestars are notorious for is a big gap that can allow things like change, pens, etc. get through to the front by the windshield. If you have left any of these items or anything of the sort then that is likely to be your problem. The only thing you can do is take the top front piece of the dash off and explore. If you can't see anything directly from the inside, look from the outside of the windshield.

Hmm this can be anything unfortunately, major problems doubt it, but more than likely its a plastic shroud of sorts, If you can pinpoint the location of the rattle then I might be able to give a little better explanation of the cause of your noise issue
