Grease the stops under the car. They are supposed to have little plastic caps on them but they dry up and fall off. That leaves a rusty stop sitting there and it squeeks when you go to full lock.
Just apply some grease on it once in awhile and you should be good to go. Thanks and I hope this helps....Dan

Parked my car and when I came back to it the steering wheel was locked , did I do something ? I was able to release it but was scary ":(

Many cars have a feature that when the steering wheel is turned after being put into Park, that is locks the steeering wheel until the key is successfully used to start the car. Some Honda and Toyota models do this - you haven't stated your car make and model

Hear a creaking noise under the dash on the driver side, it goes away if i accelerate or hit the brakes. it seems to be vacume related. could it possibly be the brake booster. It makes the noise constantly...

The exact nature of the creaking is important, and you have not provided enough info to narrow down the problem. The only "creaking" noise I have ever heard like that was coming from the front wheel. If it is going "creak -creak-creak" and changes as the car changes speed, I would check that.

Ford ka creaking on drivers side when driving over bumps in road or turning

Is this a suspension creak, or a door creak?

Components which you haven't had changed are:

bottom suspension arms
Anti roll bar links

Also lubricate your door lock mechanism, hinges and window rubbers as these can cause creaks from time to time.

Hi i have a creaking noise on front suspension on full lock. is it the front tye bar if so, how do you adjust it. many thanks kev.

jack up the front of the truck and place on jack stands. check the ball joints for wear as well as the tye bar. try greasing all the fittings first before taking anything apart. if the tye bar is the culprit they are usually threaded and can be adjusted in and out.

Vw 1996 golf tdi, when turning steeering full lock belt behind driver wheel making screeching noise and causing steering wheel to stutter!

its wore beyond spec or loose, dont be too nervous about it, until you get it fixed just try to not bounce off the steering locks. the more it slips, the faster it'll fail

Renault Megane 1999/2000

Cant help with the creaking. However the boot catch is simple enough. Check the screws around the catch, tightening loose ones, i Bet the catch is off centre, as it was with mine.
