You may have a problem with the fuel delivery being a fuel pump that's going bad or a restricted fuel filter that can't keep up with volume of fuel needed to keep your vehicle running. I'd start by having your fuel pressure tested

You need to figure out which one you are losing. You are either losing fuel, or spark. When the engine quits, immediately open the hood, and check for spark. Let us know what you find. Good luck!

Oldsmobile Delta 88, Idles High on Cold start with DTCs

Sounds like a vacumn leak. Gasket under intake plenum may be leaking. Be sure the pcv valve has the o-ring around it in the correct place also as it will set a code.

Ignition on 88 jeep yj not working

sounds like your ECM might be bad. Is there anything else that will turn on besides the lights? It could just be a main fuse. I'd start at the interior fuses if any and then go to the main fuse block and check for any loose wires or blown fuses first.

Jeep starts hard.

Sounds like the fuel pump is going bad. There is an anti-drainback valve inside which may have failed.
Have a more competent shop check it out. (or , just repalce pump)
