Try your connections again. if they still look good, try changing battery cables. if the click is coming from the starter, you may have got one with a bad solenoid

Changed battery now wont start just click

If the battery is fully charged and in good shape, and the battery terminals are in good shape and the conections to the frame and body are good, it's time to check the starter .

I have a 95 honda civic ex,wont start.ran fine yesterday,wont start this morning.battery is fully charged,new cap and rotor.would do u think might b my problem

if it wont turn over 1st check the ground s on the car and the battery 1st. your battery can be fully charged and the car will not start even over night this can happen. then look at the starter. Note: if you have over 109K on the car and the timing belt has never been replaced you will need to have this checked as well.

WHEN I TURN THE KEY JUST CLICKS HAS NEW STARTER NEW SOLENOID NEW BATTERY

Is your new battery fully charged? Maybe you need to go slow with a step-by-step process.

The most common cause of a non-starting car is the battery. It is either weak, (low voltage) dead, (zero voltage) or has bad connections. (corroded or loose) I will assume you have a fully charged battery with good connections. (both to battery and starter relay)
If you remove the starter switch lead (small wire) from the starter relay and apply +12v from the battery to its respective prong or lead on the relay, and your starter cranks, your starter switch is faulty. (not to be confused with your key switch). If you jump the two large wires together on the relay and it cranks, then the relay is faulty. If you jump the two large wires together and nothing happens, then starter is faulty, or wires to starter are loose or broken. Picture of starter switch prong on the relay is pictured. NOTE: sparks are to be expected, so don't be too scared.

After we switched starters the car won't turn over, it clicks?

Good chance you need a starter shim to make the gears on the bendex mesh better auto parts store has them cheap.

My 1993 Buick Park Avenue just Clicks once when you turn the key on starter won't engage the battery is fine

Sounds like a bad starter or a bad battery cable connection to me. If you are certain that tyour battery is in good condition and fully charged, your battery cables are clean and tight and are making good connection on BOTH ends, replace the starter.

Trying to fix my Volvo S60 2002 model. It won't start but when I hook the jumper cables to the my battery i have all interior power. when i try to turn over the engine nothing happens except clicking....

Make sure you have a fully charged battery...clean the terminals real well.
Alternator only charges the battery when the correct engine rpm is attained.
A clicking noise could be the starter solenoid which is basically a relay / contactor but can block power from reaching the starter.
Worn brushes in the starter can also zap a battery's power.

Battery, starter and aloternator can be tested at most part stores.

From what you describe, I'd clean battery terminals and ensure battery is fully charged.
If clicking still happens, I'd move to the solenoid and starter.

Hope this helps...

Chevrolet want turn over

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you charge the battery. If the battery is weak, there will be no enough current to the starter to kick the flywheel. One good reason why the vehicle won't turn over.
If the battery is fully charged and still won't turn, then I strongly suggest that you replace the starter itself for it can be the one faulty.
Hope this helps and thank you for using Fixya! Have a good one!

When i try starting the car it does a clicking sound and i keep trying till it strartes ,, would that sound like the starter going or not ?

hi the clicking sound is probably the solenoid switch on your starter motor not fully actuating
this can be because it is worn or because there isnt enough battery power to open the switch
check the condition of your battery and all conections to it and the starter motor clean off any corrosion with abrasive paper to ensure a good connection if the battery is in good condition
and the connections are good you need to get a new starter motor or find someone who can recondition your old one

My 1988 chevy truck won,t start.I put new battery clamps on .I charged the battery . I put new ground wire negative to body. all I GET is a click.what should I do next?

I would have the starter tested. Also check to see if the motor is turning freely, by turning the crankshaft pulley, just to make sure the motor isn't locked up.

Engine clicking when I turn the key but the battery is brand new and charged fully.

I would check the starter relay and the starter. Also check for good connections for the battery, starter and starter relay.
