Question about 1995 Buick Riviera
I had the same problem with mine. Everytime I got it to a mechanic they couldn't find the problem. 3 mechanics and 1 and a half months later - turned out to be a bad computer. Replaced it and runs great. Very hard to diagnose they have to have it on computer when it happens.

Could be but the sympton youdescribed leads me to believe the crank sensor the coilpacks would kill spark if bad but they usually stop working and stay that way

Crank sensor is probable also have the coilpacks (3) checked but my experience with the 3.8liter engine is usually the crank sensor
